6 WEEKS TO A HEALTHIER YOU

Given practical information, realistic advice, easy-to use tools and high degree of motivation, people can learn to live and sustain healthy lifestyle changes. In this program, community members consisting of local families, educators, health professionals and underserved populations attend six in depth sessions and one follow up session on diet, exercise, stress, family health, cooking and sustained measurement including biometirc testing. Participants receive a "challenge" at each session to be accomplished during the following week. Each session "builds" upon the previous one to create sustainable and effective change. 

Session #1 (Overview) Make Your Health Last as Long as Your Life

How lifestyle habits impact key biometric numbers and why it is important to keep those numbers in check.

 

Session #2 (Diet) Eating Healthy in a Doubleburger.com World

The principles of healthy eating and how to apply those principles to practical actions at home, in grocery stores and in restaurants.

 

Session #3 (Exercise) Move It or Lose It

How to set up and maintain a balanced exercise program (aerobic, weight resistance, stretching and balance).

 

Session #4 (Stress) Take A Load Off Your Heart

How chronic stress impacts dietary and exercise compliance and more importantly, how to manage it.

 

Session #5 (Family Health) Raising Fit Kids in a Fast World

An examination of the health trends of American children (obesity, Type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol) and how parents, teachers and caregivers can improve lifestyle habits in children.

 

Session #6 (Cooking) Healthy Cooking at Home

How to prepare healthy recipes that taste and look great.

 

Session #7 (Sustained Measurement) The 6 Weeks Reunion

A review of the 6 Weeks principles where participants receive their 6-month biometric evaluations and learn how to extend their 6 Weeks lifestyle for the rest of their lives.
